Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to where ever you are!

Just got this from my friend at rhythmtravels.com:
"We are all familiar with the classical Christmas music but in Trinidad & Tobago the Christmas music is called Parang “Parang is a popular folk music originating from Trinidad and Tobago, it was brought to Trinidad by Venezuelan migrants who were primarily of Amerindian, Spanish and African heritage, something which is strongly reflected in the music itself. The word is derived from two Spanish words: parranda, meaning “a spree or fĂȘte”, and parar meaning “to stop”."

Read the whole post here at their page, which is also featuring our mix tapes with parang.
