BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – KONRIS MAYNARD continues to prove he is an unstoppable force as the king learnt last night (Jan.11) that he would be competing in the International Soca Monarch Competition scheduled for Trinidad.

According to Chairman of the National Carnival Clement O’Garro, it is customary for organisers from Trinidad’s International Soca Monarch Show to be invited to various countries Soca Monarch Competitions.

“We were unable to invite them to the Sugar Mas Soca Monarch Show held on December 18; therefore, what we did was sent them two videos - one of King Konris’ performances, who won the show, and the other of the First Runner-up, X-man out of Nevis,” he added.

O’Garro said in response to the videos, the organisers said they were satisfied with what they saw of King Konris and he was qualified to go through to the Semi-Finals, which takes place on March 4, and he would not have to go through the elimination stage.
