Trots att anmälningstiden är ute för längesen, försöker vi fortfarande få ihop mer folk. Om ni inte har anmält er, eller har kompisar som är sugna på att vara med, så säg till. Ju fortare desto bättre, såklart.

Vi hoppas också att alla har varit inne och kollat på vår nya fina hemsida. Bli gärna medlemmar och dela med er av era bilder, videor och kommentarer från tidigare år. Så har ni inte gjort det redan, gå in på http://www.ratarydcarnival.webs.com !

Som många av er kanske minns hade vi så kallade moko jumbies (styltgångare) på karnevalerna 2002 och 2003. Om det är någon som är intresserad av att lära sig gå på styltor till karnevalen nästa år, så hör av er till oss. Vi letar efter minst två personer som vill öva flitigt, jobba lite extra på sina dräkter och framförallt avstå från att dricka i (och innan!) tåget. ;) Styltor och övningsstyltor finns redan, och det är bra om man börjar öva tidigt!

As many of you may recall, we had so-called moko jumbies (styltgångare) on the carnival of 2002 and 2003. If there is anyone who is interested to learn to walk on stilts to the carnival next year, please get in touch with us. We're looking for at least two people who want to practice diligently, work a little extra on their costumes and especially refrain from drinking in (and before!) Train. ;) Stilts stilts and exercise already, and it is good if you start practicing early!

Samini's album launch in London

Samini had a album launch in London earlier this year. Here is the footage. His album Dagaati will be out by end of May via online digital retailers. 8 tracks will be released first them the remainer later on in the year. Its a 21 track album with collobrations with Etana, Poni, Sway, Steelpulse, Faze and many more artists.

Samini is a Mobo award winner, Ghana award winner, MTV EMA nomminee and has many awards to his name.

Brother B brings More Fire to Canada

Pressrelease: Soca artist Brother B performed at the El Sipote Venue in Canada last weekend. The artist who is known for his hit tracks ‘Little Wine, Bad like We and Pork’, performed to fans in Ontario, Canada. Sharing the same bill that night was Grenada’s 2008 Soca Monarch Kings Luni Sparks and Electrify.

In May, Brother B performs alongside Shaggy, Destra, Mr Killa and other artists at Grenada’s first major festival in over 7 years, called Rock D Spice on 30th May 2009.

Brother B, who works with King Beat Studios, entered the Soca arena in 2007. His 19 track album ‘More Fire’ includes his 2007 and 2008 hits, was released last year and has been a hit overseas.

Fans can expect to see more of this uprising artist throughout the carnivals this summer starting in Grenada at Spicemas in August 2009.

This post is a tribut to the original RumBoi Jonas,
he started party yesterday at 9am and got home at 3:10am next day.
In the meantime he consumed rum like a true trini and had to carry home all equipment and speaker and all after I fell a from and retreated.
Also taking to the police in a civil matter and went to the club in night to represent the colors of Soca Revolution crew.
