This year has had some big zouk inspired soca songs. The Road March of St. Vincent this year was a "cover" on the old hit by Kassav - Zouk la le sel medicament nou ni. You can see the video a little bit down, it makes me wanna play steel drums more then ever. The song has the same riddim just with new lyrics by Problem Child. You can read an article about him here in WE Magazine. Its really nice to hear the two music styles blend. The riddims of zouk and soca can be very similar, so similar it can be hard to separate them apart. One band that blends the two styles perfect is Triple Kay from Dominic.
