Montserrat!
In 1997 the volcano Soufriere Hills, had a eruption and devastated more the half of the small island of Montserrat in the Caribbean and killed 19 persons. After that a lot of citizens had to go overseas because of lack of housing and jobs. Montserrat is under the rule of Britain and was granted full residency rights and later on citizenship.
Now days the island is getting back and hopefully soon the tourist will again visit this beautiful island. The capacity of the new airport and dock is up and more services are available to the island.

Ki & JMC 3Veni - Catch Me Lover Video

Ki & JMC 3Veni - Catch Me Lover
JMC 3veni was founded in the year 1977, as a local East-Indian oriented band. They played full East Indian Music focusing on film songs, playback etc. Within a few years of existence, Jmc 3veni had captivated the hearts of many Indo-Trinidadians with their music.
The year 1987 was a major turning point for the band, as they, for the first time, ventured into the Soca/Calypso arena, playing on the road and being awarded 2nd best sounding band for Mas Band Rabs Immortal. It was then and there, Jmc 3veni was dubbed the premier Crossover band out of Trinidad & Tobago, becoming the band of choice for many popular Carnival Mas Bands including; Show Case, Raoul Garib, Max Awon D Midas and Associates, and for the past 11 years, 3 time Band of the Year winners Trini Revellers.
Jmc 3veni, worked diligently to promote the Music and Culture of Trinidad & Tobago internationally over the past years, travelling to North America, South America, & Europe annually. In doing so, theyve managed to attain many merits to their name, including;
•Sunshine Award winners, 4 consecutive years
•Indo Caribbean & TnT Awards, 3 consecutive years
•Awards at the 103 Fm Annual Hall of Fame Awards
•Best Crossover Band, The International Soca Awards at the Apollo Centre, New York
•Crossover Song of the Year 2006 Doi Festival, The Cott Awards, Trinidad
•The Opportunity to perform for former mayor Rudolf Juliani, 4 consecutive years
•4 time winners of the Best Sounding Band, Downtown Carnival Trinidad, including the year 2009
Jmc 3veni is presently preparing for Carnival 2010, with their latest crossover hit Catch Meh Lover, as well as many other crossover and soca selections. Although being a premier band for many of the Carnival fetes and All-Inclusive parties, the band plays a major role in all of the Chutney Soca events throughout the season, including The Chutney Soca Monarch, Chutney Glow, Chutney Brass, etc. Jmc 3veni continues to work vigorously to hold the title of the Best Crossover Band out of Trinidad & Tobago.

Drue “On A Mission” With an eclectic mix of Soca, R&B, Hip Hop and Reggae, there is no doubting the diverse ripple effect caused by such phenomenal success stories of great performers like, Michael Jackson, Bob Marley , Machel Montano and LL Cool J have influenced the young and energetic Drue to become who he is today. Drue, who is primed to make his presence felt as he crafts a rhythm all of his own throughout the music industry, offers a glimpse into who he is, a young man, first, and also an artist. After making a dent in the music scene as one of the lead singer of the dance and vocal quartet “Crossovah,” it is highly anticipated that Drue is sure to leave his stamp on the music industry as he makes his solo debut. Drue has been laying the foundation for his musical career since the tender age of 5 years old and has come a long way with humble beginnings from Cocoyea San Fernando, inTrinidad and Tobago. It was only after his move to the United States that he met the people who gave him the motivation he needed to enhance his vocal talents. Although Soca music is an influential part of his career, Drue hopes to break the cultural barriers like so many artists have done in the past. For his solo debut, Drue stepped into the booth with producers including, Dwain “Dwaingerous” Antroubus who worked with all-star artists such as (Machel Montano, Patrice Roberts, Zan, Edwin Yearwood and Wayne Marshall), Peter Coppin of Monstapiece Inc.(Rupee, Allison Hinds, Bunji Garlin etc) and Trinidad and Tobago’s own Carl “Beaver” Henderson (Marlon Asher). Drue hopes to give fans “a deeper insight of who he is, an entertainer with so much to offer!” Performing for large crowds is nothing new to Drue as he has been doing so from such a young age. He has opened for artist such as Jeffrey Osbourne, Mario, Fat Joe, Sean Kinston, Llyod, Machel Montano, Allison Hinds, Destra Garcia, Patrice Roberts, Red Rat, TOK and many more. Drue grew up listening to the smooth rhythms of Luther Vandross, New Edition, Boyz II Men and Usher, the pop sounds of Michael and Janet Jackson, the Comical and Witty lyrics of the late Lord Kitchener, Sparrow, Ronnie Mcintosh and Crazy and the fast paste riddims of Machel Montano, Red Rat, Mr Vegas, Bennie Man, Bunji Garlin and many more. Drue aspires to become a very influential member of the entertainment world adding his own flavor to the foundation that has been laid by so many great artists before him.
